Agilent Technologies Nucleic Acids Solutions Division is seeking a Research Associate for their Analytical Services team at a contract API manufacturing facility specializing in oligonucleotide chemistries. This role executes analytical techniques in support of method validation for API manufacturing.

The candidate will design and conduct laboratory scale experiments using instruments like HPLC/UPLC, HPLC-MS, ICP-MS, and others. They will author method validation protocols and reports following ICH guidelines and Agilent SOPs. Proper recording of experiments in notebooks and construction of research summaries for internal teams are also key.

The role operates in a cGMP regulated environment with adherence to SOPs and current good manufacturing practices. The candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to understand requirements and meet project timelines. Maintaining process compliance integrity is essential.

This full-time position offers the option to work remotely and includes eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits. The pay range is $69,120 to $108,000 per year, determined by location and experience. This role provides opportunity to develop deep expertise in oligonucleotide API analytical testing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or equivalent
1 year of relevant experience and/or training
Experience in following SOPs for analytical method execution such as HPLC/UPLC, HPLC-MS
Experience in cGMP regulated environment
Knowledge of ICP-MS, IC, GC, GC-MS, UV, Karl Fischer
Knowledge of analytical test methods used in testing of oligonucleotide API or related molecules
Experience with method validation
Ability to work with interdisciplinary project teams, understand project requirements, and follow project timelines

Responsibilities

Design and conduct laboratory scale experiments using analytical instrument platforms such as HPLC/UPLC, HPLC-MS, ICP-MS, IC, GC, GC-MS, UV, Karl Fischer
Author method validation protocols and reports with adherence to ICH guidelines and internal Agilent standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Design and safely conduct laboratory scale experiments using current best practices for API testing
Properly record and summarize experiments in notebooks and reports and construct research summaries to present to internal teams
Maintain process compliance integrity by adhering to SOPs and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) as appropriate
Operate laboratory equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting instrumentation and method issues, and performing routine preventative maintenance
