About this role

Avery Dennison seeks a highly motivated individual to join our R&D Graphics Solutions team. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment, applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges in polymer chemistry, process optimization, and material characterization. Work alongside experienced professionals, contributing directly to ongoing projects.

Assist with planning, execution, and monitoring of technical projects while conducting research and data analysis to support objectives. Utilize digital tools and software for simulations, data management, and reporting. Contribute to development and optimization of polymer formulations and chemical processes.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and progress in team meetings. Actively participate in problem-solving discussions within a global materials science company serving industries like apparel, retail, and automotive. Gain exposure to branding and information solutions that advance sustainability and efficiency.

Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations on findings and recommendations. Build valuable skills over 6-9 months starting January 15th, 2026, available 5 days a week. Develop initiative and ownership in a supportive, equal opportunity environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and contribute to project deliverables
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High degree of initiative and ownership of tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to challenges

Responsibilities
