In Production Operations, perform polymer dye synthesis using metal catalyst reactions, C-N and C-C coupling, and air/moisture sensitive reagents from -78ºC to higher temperatures. Purify compounds via column chromatography and other techniques. Apply hands-on expertise with HPLC/UPLC/GPC/TFF/Spectrophotometer/Fluorimeter and automated systems.

Requirements

M.Sc. in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Biochemistry or related discipline with minimum 5+ years’ industrial experience
Experience in polymer chemistry and protein conjugation
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and resourceful
Organic synthesis of fluorescent dyes suitable for Flow Cytometry applications

Responsibilities

Handle metal catalyst reactions
Perform and optimize C-N and C-C coupling reactions
Handle air/moisture sensitive reagents and perform reactions at temperatures from -78ºC to higher
Purify organic compounds using column chromatography techniques and other separation methods
Apply polymer chemistry and conjugation chemistry knowledge with hands-on experience on HPLC/UPLC/GPC/TFF/Spectrophotometer/Fluorimeter and automated purification systems
Conduct polymer dye synthesis and related manufacturing processes
