About this role

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a segment of Element Solutions Inc, revolutionizes the electronics industry with solutions in wafer level packaging, circuitry, assembly, advanced materials, and more. This QC Chemist performs laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process, finished products, and customer applications including circuit boards and semiconductor chips. The role suits a team player thriving in a dynamic environment across multiple testing areas.

Conduct chemical, physical, and instrumental testing such as plating tests, volumetric and gravimetric analyses, pH measurement, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry on samples. Prepare samples for SEM and optical analysis using cross-sectioning, potting, and surface preparation techniques. Perform functional testing on electrical properties like thermal conductivity as needed.

Follow written analytical procedures, validate methods, and troubleshoot testing to ensure product quality. Collect, enter, review, and validate data in WinLIMS; maintain instrument calibrations and schedule MSA studies including Gage R&R, accuracy, and linearity. Maintain laboratory documentation such as SOPs, test methods, batch records, and COAs.

Support Quality Assurance with root cause analysis, CAPA, and investigations for OOS or OOT results. Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.
