About this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Chemist to join the Chemistry Consumables team. The role focuses on optimising existing products and processes. Drive process, cost, and continuous improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodology.

Liaise with R&D, Marketing, Taunton Production, Wexford Production, and Quality Departments daily. Develop manufacturing and product testing processes to consistently deliver high quality HPLC/UPLC columns. Design and implement stability indicating experiments to ensure product stability.

Support investigations related to customer feedback and project manage continuous improvement initiatives including 6 Sigma activities. Support projects associated with student placements. Work in a global leader in analytical instruments, separations technologies, and software serving life, materials, food, and environmental sciences.

Conduct all project activities in accordance with standards like 21CFR820, ISO9001, ISO13485, and GMP. Collaborate with over 7,600 passionate employees in more than 100 countries. Accelerate benefits of pioneering science in laboratories, manufacturing sites, and hospitals.

Requirements

  • BSc or higher in chemistry or relevant science discipline
  • Relevant laboratory or industry experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the use of Waters acquisition software is an advantage
  • Proven abilities in project management and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical ability and associated problem-solving
  • Proven report writing and presentation skills

Responsibilities
