The primary functions involve coordination of analytical work, including conducting, planning, and timing of all test assays to assure accurate, precise, and timely results in compliance with plant procedures, laboratory methods, and Division policies. Responsible for providing effective support to the Analytical Lab and Plant to establish an efficient and proactive laboratory setting for quality assurance testing.

Ensure the highest quality results while operating within manufacturing schedule and safety guidelines. Develop positive relations with Analysts, Operators, and Management from other departments that interact with the laboratory. Provide timely feedback to respective management as to the status of their area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Expertise in analytical chemistry techniques for quality assurance testing
  • Knowledge of laboratory methods, plant procedures, and Division policies
  • Experience ensuring compliance in manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in assay planning, timing, and result validation
  • Understanding of nutrition product manufacturing processes
  • Ability to lead analytical projects and coordinate lab operations
  • Familiarity with GMP guidelines for precise and accurate testing

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate analytical work including conducting, planning, and timing of all test assays
  • Assure accurate, precise, and timely results in compliance with plant procedures, laboratory methods, and Division policies
  • Provide effective support to the Analytical Lab and Plant for efficient quality assurance testing
  • Ensure highest quality results within manufacturing schedule and safety guidelines
  • Develop positive relations with Analysts, Operators, and Management interacting with the laboratory
  • Provide timely feedback to management on status of area of responsibility
  • Generate appropriate documentation for batch calculations, corrections, and optimizations
  • Coordinate housekeeping responsibilities and understand manufacturing process systems to assist product decisions
