Piscataway, US · Full-time · $60,000 – $75,000

About this role

GenScript is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HTP Analytical QC Associate Scientist to join the dynamic US Protein Department. This role performs analytical characterization and quality control testing of recombinant proteins from high-throughput production workflows. It ensures protein identity, purity, and overall quality through robust methodologies.

The position involves executing protein characterization assays including HPLC/UPLC (SEC, RP, IEX), Capillary Electrophoresis (CE, iCE/cIEF), SDS-PAGE, Western blot, LC-MS, and endotoxin assays. Daily tasks include preparing samples, reagents, buffers, and standards per protocols, plus using automated liquid handling systems. Data analysis and documentation occur in ELN, LIMS, or equivalent systems following ALCOA+ principles.

This data-driven, quality-focused environment emphasizes accuracy, reproducibility, and data integrity. The Associate Scientist maintains laboratory instruments, supports calibration, and complies with quality and safety standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams like protein production and process development drives project timelines.

Opportunities include method troubleshooting, optimization for robustness and consistency, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Enhancements target workflow efficiency, method refinement, and data quality. The role supports GenScript's vision of reliable biotechnology for healthier humans and nature.
