About this role
At ExxonMobil, our vision is to lead in energy innovations that advance modern living and a net-zero future. The researcher will leverage deep polymer science expertise to develop fundamental structure–property–processing relationships. Connect innovative polymer molecular structures to their resulting material properties, performance, and end use value.
Conduct polymer synthesis or collaborate closely with chemists and cross functional partners to design, synthesize, and evaluate novel polymer structures. Drive polymer application development and processing studies to translate new materials into viable commercial applications. Engage with new market development teams to identify technical opportunities.
Baytown Complex is located on 3,400 acres along the Houston Ship Channel, employing over 8,500 people. It includes the Baytown Refinery, one of the largest in the US, and the Baytown Olefins Plant, one of the largest ethylene plants worldwide. Sites are highly integrated for efficiency in producing cleaner fuels safely.
Bring your ideas to ExxonMobil to help create sustainable solutions that improve quality of life. Success comes from talent, curiosity, and drive in Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions. Learn more about our What, Why, and investing in people.
