About this role
We are seeking a Research Fellow to work on crystallisation-driven self-assembly of polyester-based block polymers in Prof. Rachel O’Reilly’s group in the School of Chemistry. The role involves leading the entire project from polymer synthesis through to data characterisation and interpretation. Training will be provided in component techniques.
Daily responsibilities include performing research, collecting and interpreting data on self-assembly processes. The post holder will produce regular reports, attend project meetings, and deliver group presentations. Collaboration with project partners is essential.
Join a vibrant School of Chemistry with over 130 academic and research staff and state-of-the-art facilities including a new molecular sciences building. The community focuses on research themes like Energy, Sustainability, Environment and Health. Participate in group activities and contribute to the school’s scientific health.
Opportunities include contributing to research strategies, co-supervising Masters students, and engaging in outreach or teaching. Develop broader supervisory skills in an inclusive, supportive environment. The school supports career potential amid ambitious research expansion.
