Provide support to senior technical staff in managing project deliverables for polymeric materials and polymer composites. This includes forensic examination and aging/life cycle analysis of components like electrical cables and non-metallic accessories. Work independently or in teams to execute engineering consulting services, analysis, and reports.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of polymeric materials and polymer composites in energy applications
  • Experience with forensic examination of electrical cables and non-metallic accessories
  • Familiarity with aging and life cycle analysis of polymeric components
  • Proficiency in materials science characterization and testing techniques
  • Ability to perform analysis and prepare reports on polymer-related projects
  • Skills in developing laboratory procedures for polymer testing
  • Understanding of safety protocols including Job Safety Analysis for lab and field work
  • Project management capabilities for small to medium polymer engineering projects

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to senior technical staff in managing and executing project deliverables in polymeric materials and polymer composites
  • Support forensic examination of polymeric components including electrical cables and associated non-metallic accessories
  • Support aging/life cycle analysis assessment of polymeric components including electrical cables and associated non-metallic accessories
  • Work independently and as part of technical teams to perform engineering consulting services including execution of work, analysis, and report preparation
  • Maintain expertise in materials science characterization and testing techniques to solve technical problems
  • Create Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), procedures, and Pre-Job briefings for health, safety, and environmental hazards
  • Manage small to medium sized projects from bid to project completion, monitoring percent complete and project metrics
  • Ensure staff and customers receive timely and accurate project information and status updates
