In this Analytical Chemist I role, you will perform analytical testing of volatile and non-volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts, and essences using GC-FID/MS and HPLC. You will also support the development, optimization, and validation of analytical testing methods, preparing SOPs and reports as needed.
This position heavily supports cross-functional departments including Research & Development, Quality Control, and Operations, requiring entry-level knowledge of advanced analytical techniques used in the food and flavor industry. You will also collaborate with international colleagues as part of a global team.

Requirements
- BS degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related discipline required; Master’s degree or higher is a plus
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in food/flavor industry with practical application of scientific methods is preferred; new grads must provide specific examples of projects and lab work
- Demonstrated experience working with analytical instrumentation, particularly GC-FID/MS and HPLC, is beneficial
- Knowledge of laboratory terminology, equipment, materials, procedures, and fundamental methods related to flavor chemistry and food science
- Ability to use scientific principles to solve problems and determine tools, equipment, and methods needed to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple projects within any given day
- Must be able to work accurately, efficiently, and using good laboratory practices
- Strong analytical acumen, organization skills, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of volatile and non-volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts, and essences using GC-FID/MS and HPLC
- Support development, optimization, and validation of analytical testing methods, preparing SOPs and reports as needed
- Carry out routine checks and, under supervision, perform regular maintenance on analytical instrumentation
- Design and execute laboratory experiments as instructed by manager
- Analyze experimental results and generate technical reports
- Clearly communicate findings to key stakeholders throughout all project phases
- Maintain detailed records of experimental materials, methods, and results
