Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, complete before starting date
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Relevant research or industry experience
  • Participation in professional activities and organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with broad campus community

Responsibilities

  • Teach chemistry courses supporting undergraduates primarily in introductory chemistry
  • Prepare and deliver lectures for introductory chemistry classes
  • Conduct laboratory sessions for undergraduate chemistry students
  • Hold office hours to mentor and support students in chemistry
  • Grade assignments and assessments in introductory chemistry courses
  • Develop course materials aligned with project-based learning approach
  • Collaborate with faculty on STEM curriculum enhancements
