About this role

KOSTAL Ukraine, part of the global KOSTAL Group, develops and manufactures electronic and mechatronic modules for the automotive industry. The company supplies components to major manufacturers like Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Skoda, Seat, Ford, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Renault. As Senior Analytical Chemist, you ensure compliance with chemical regulations for these components.

Perform tasks related to SCIP KI, including requests, receiving, data maintenance, and creation of MDS for components with SVHC greater than 0.1%. Upload BOMs to iPoint system and analyze SVHC substances for material declarations, uploading to CDB and ECHA. These activities support regulatory adherence in automotive supply chains.

Execute requests for information from suppliers about prohibited or potentially prohibited substances in goods delivered to KOSTAL, receiving and uploading results to Metis for colleague access. Inform suppliers about IMDS updates and Kostal IMDS recommendations, sending requests for IMDS updates. Conduct MDS analysis in iPoint for substances under EU and other regulations.

Requirements

3+ years related experience in multinational environment and Automotive Sector preferred
University or college degree in chemistry
English upper-intermediate or higher
Advanced user of MS Office
Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW, CDB as a benefit
Advanced communication skills
Results-oriented, personal leadership and ownership for assigned tasks

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to SCIP KI including request, receiving, data maintenance, and creation of MDS for components with SVHC >0.1%
Upload BOMs to iPoint system
Analyze SVHC substances in components in iPoint system for creation of material declaration and upload to CDB
Upload relevant data into ECHA
Execute tasks related to request for information from suppliers about prohibited/potentially prohibited substances and upload results to Metis
Inform suppliers about IMDS updates and update of Kostal IMDS recommendations, sending request for IMDS update
Execute MDS analysis in iPoint related to content of different substances foreseen by EU and other regulations
