About this role

FMC Corporation is a global leader in agricultural sciences, driven by the purpose of innovation for agriculture and solutions for the planet. We are seeking M.Sc. level Analytical Chemists to develop analytical methods and perform qualitative and quantitative assessment of agricultural pipeline products, their intermediates, metabolites, and impurities.

In this role, you will conduct routine and non-routine testing such as assay and impurities weight percent and residual solvents weight percent of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. You will interpret analytical data and prepare reports and documentation while ensuring full compliance with laboratory and safety standards.

You will collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, including analytical chemists, process chemists, and process engineers. The work involves maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, supporting method transfers and stability studies, and partial validation of methods of analysis.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge crop protection technologies, including active ingredients like Dodhylex and Isoflex. You will be part of a culture that values integrity, safety, respect, and results, with flexible work schedules to accommodate work performed in different geographies.

  • M.Sc. in chemistry, with a preferred concentration in an analytical discipline.
  • Typically 3–10 years of experience in analytical laboratories.
  • Agrochemical and pharma industry experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern analytical techniques including chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, GC) and mass spectrometric techniques (LC/MS, GC/MS).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in teams of scientists.
  • Flexible work schedules to accommodate work performed in different geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical methods according to requirements for qualitative and quantitative assessment of agricultural pipeline products.
  • Perform analysis using techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, IC, UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR, KF & AT, and wet chemical analysis.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, including assay, impurities, and residual solvents.
  • Interpret analytical data and prepare reports and documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with laboratory and safety standards, and maintain proper laboratory records, SOPs, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide analysis support and collaborate with R&D teams, including method transfers and stability studies.
  • Support partial validation of methods of analysis (MOA).

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge crop protection technologies.
