About this role
Within the QC Chemistry team, you will actively contribute to quality control activities in a dynamic and stimulating environment. As part of Merck's Healthcare branch, the goal is to create, improve, and prolong lives through innovative medicines, smart devices, and technologies in oncology, neurology, and fertility. You will lead a project qualifying new equipment or validating raw materials using spectral methods, perform water network tests including TOC, visual inspections, conductivity, nitrates, and particle counting. Conduct incoming testing of raw materials per applicable pharmacopeias, prepare solutions, manage test products, and open deviations for non-conformities. Maintain the laboratory through 5S, stock management, and cleaning.
Participate in daily QC activities by performing routine analyses according to the schedule and delivering result reports on time. Engage in team discussions, continuous improvement initiatives, and chemistry projects within QC Chemistry. Contribute to developing and updating procedures and controlled documents to meet testing requirements.

Requirements
- Pursuing studies in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field
- Knowledge of spectral analytical methods
- Familiarity with water quality testing (TOC, conductivity, nitrates, particles)
- Understanding of pharmacopeia standards for raw material testing
- Laboratory maintenance skills including 5S methodology
- Ability to prepare solutions and handle lab consumables
- Attention to GMP compliance and deviation management
- Basic proficiency in routine QC chemical analyses
