Syqe Medical is an innovative startup developing breakthrough technologies for the precise delivery of therapeutic molecules via inhalation. Our mission is to enhance patients’ quality of life by making advanced treatments accessible, effective, and fast-acting. We seek a highly motivated Analytical Chemist with strong passion for laboratory work.

As part of our CMC team, you will play a central role in the chemical characterization of our products. This involves developing and implementing analytical methods to identify and quantify both known and novel plant-derived compounds. The position is a full-time temporary maternity leave replacement.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Tech, and Clinical. These collaborations support drug development activities and regulatory submissions. Key focus includes FDA approval of Syqe’s inhalation technology.

Contribute to ongoing and future research and development initiatives through method optimization and validation. Advance project goals in a dynamic startup environment. Gain exposure to cutting-edge pharmaceutical inhalation technologies.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field (M.Sc. – advantage)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical or R&D role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, particularly GC/MS (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in analytical method development and validation (mandatory)
  • Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with regulatory submission requirements (mandatory)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Self-motivated, curious, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments such as GC/MS, UPLC, and Karl Fischer titrators
  • Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses
  • Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods
  • Write and execute protocols related to method development and validation
  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory documentation for drug development submissions
  • Support ongoing and future research and development initiatives
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to advance project goals
