We seek a highly motivated Process Chemistry Scientist to drive development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical production processes for agrochemical active ingredients. This role improves yield, quality, cost efficiency, and ensures lab-to-production transfer.
You develop, optimize, and continuously improve chemical processes focusing on cost efficiency, quality, sustainability, and process safety. Transfer processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial scale across manufacturing networks. Achieve optimal manufacturing costs and ecological targets using new synthetic methods and technologies.
Provide chemical expertise, consulting, and troubleshooting to manufacturing sites. Evaluate scientific literature and patents for competitiveness and freedom to operate. Take responsibility for laboratory equipment, investment planning, and compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry
- Excellent knowledge of classical and modern synthetic methods, including tools in preparative organic chemistry
- Long-term industrial experience in process development
- Strong track record in scaling up chemical processes
- Experience leading scientific projects and interdisciplinary teams
- Experience mentoring MSc and/or PhD students
- Solid understanding of process economics (e.g., COGM calculations)
- Fluent in both German and English
Responsibilities

- Take responsibility for laboratory equipment and technical systems, including investment planning and compliance with regulations and safety standards
- Mentor and support junior scientists (MSc, PhD, postdocs)
Benefits
