You will transfer laboratory-scale chemical syntheses to production scale and optimize reactions for polymers, small-molecules, and nanoparticles. Hands-on experience in laboratory and wet chemistry development is essential, along with expertise in scaling up processes. This role involves deep understanding of pilot chemistry.
Collaborate with R&D teams to design scale-up experiments and modify procedures for pilot runs. Work closely with production teams and chemical engineers for support and troubleshooting. Employ analytical methods like NMR, GPC, GC-MS, rheology, and SEM to characterize materials.

Requirements
- B.Sc. in Chemistry – a must
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Chemistry or second B.Sc. in material engineering – an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience; hands-on experience in scaling up chemical processes and reactions from lab to pilot or production – a must
- Hands-on experience in synthesis of small molecules, polymers, nanoparticles – a must
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in an agile environment
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the transfer of chemical reactions from lab-scale to pilot and production-scale settings
- Develop and optimize scalable processes for polymers and nanoparticles, ensuring reproducibility and consistency in larger volumes
- Optimize chemical processes with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with R&D teams to design and implement scale-up experiments, modifying lab procedures as needed
- Employ analytical methods, including NMR, GPC, GC-MS, rheology, and SEM, to characterize materials
- Analyze, document, and interpret experimental data, creating detailed reports and presentations
- Collaborate closely with production teams and chemical engineers to provide support, consultation, and troubleshooting
