About this role

Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life’s journey. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of incoming raw materials, conducting Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis to ensure quality and compliance, and managing reference standards for validated materials. This position reports to the Lab Supervisor in the QA laboratories.

Conduct FTIR analysis on all raw materials and participate in testing using Vacuum Oven for LOD, Karl Fisher for moisture, and wet chemistry techniques. Collect, document, review, and transfer test results from third-party labs to the Raw Materials Testing Sheet Protocol. Assist in routine FTIR calibration and System Suitability checks.

Engage in daily communication with upper management and other departments regarding raw materials. Ensure safe storage of raw materials and chemicals, oversee proper collection and disposal of waste following QA SOP regulations. Maintain a safe environment by checking safety equipment, leading evacuations, and keeping current MSDS inventory.

Play an active role in achieving and sustaining the success of our QA laboratories. The opportunity is based onsite Monday to Friday 6 am – 2 pm in a temperature-controlled environment with opportunities to promote from within. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
  • Experience working in an analytical laboratory
  • Knowledge of chemistry laboratory materials
  • Knowledge of chemical safety materials
  • Familiarity with FTIR analysis and calibration
  • Ability to perform moisture analysis using Karl Fisher and LOD via Vacuum Oven
  • Understanding of wet chemistry techniques

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a precise record of incoming raw materials in our database system
  • Conduct FTIR analysis on all raw materials to ensure quality and compliance
  • Collect, document, review, and transfer test results from third-party labs to our Raw Materials Testing Sheet Protocol
  • Create and manage reference standards for validated and approved raw materials
  • Participate in raw material testing using FTIR, Vacuum Oven (for LOD), Karl Fisher (for Moisture), and Wet Chemistry
  • Assist in routine FTIR calibration and System Suitability checks
  • Engage in daily communication with upper management and other departments regarding raw materials
  • Ensure safe storage of raw materials and chemicals, and oversee proper disposal of waste materials following QA SOP regulations
