Scientist - Medicinal Chemistry

General Proximity is a seed-stage startup developing the next generation of induced proximity medicines. Our OmniTAC drug discovery engine creates bifunctional molecules that co-opt existing cellular machinery to overcome therapeutic challenges that have remained unapproachable to other modalities for decades.

We are seeking a first-rate medicinal chemist to help pioneer this uncharted frontier. You will design and optimize first-in-class bifunctional molecules while assessing SAR to inform iterative medicinal chemistry optimization.

In this role you will supervise synthetic efforts with CRO partners and perform and analyze in cellulo assays. You will collaborate with Drug Discovery and IP teams on patent applications while contributing mechanistic insight on lead drug molecules.

You will work with both our Chemistry and Platform Teams in the development of our core drug discovery technology. The position offers the opportunity to generate a completely novel class of therapeutics targeting historically undruggable proteins.
