About this role
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across food, environment, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. The Scientist I – Analytical Chemist supports Eurofins Discovery in contract research services. This role applies experience in analytical chemistry methods within a CRO or industry laboratory setting.
Daily work involves conducting production assays primarily in ADME Toxicology Services, with potential support for BioMAP, Immunosignaling, Ion Channel, or OncoPanel services. Develop LC-MS methods for ADME/DMPK applications and analytical methods for new assay development. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on mass spectrometers and HPLC units, with Sciex or Waters experience as a plus.
Operate in a laboratory environment meeting physical job requirements at a GxP site. Prepare and manage inventory of buffers, reagents, semi-finished, and finished goods. Adhere to SOPs, maintain accurate data management, and ensure high data quality and reproducibility.
Take ownership of client projects with minimal supervision and provide solutions to complex problems. Identify and initiate process improvements, support method validation, and contribute to service expansion. Complete training, demonstrate equipment proficiency, and support unit goals per Eurofins competencies.
Requirements
- Applied experience in analytical chemistry methods
- Proven knowledge with related experience in CRO or industry laboratory
- Experience developing LC-MS methods for ADME/DMPK
- Familiarity with troubleshooting mass spectrometers and HPLC units
- Experience with Sciex or Waters instrumentation preferred
- Understanding of GxP site requirements
- Proficiency in lab equipment care and maintenance
- Ability to manage data accurately per SOPs
