About this role
This role is responsible for performing laboratory procedures for testing in process and finished products from manufacturing, raw material samples prior to use in manufacturing, and customer plating solutions. The preferred candidate will be able to step into a dynamic work environment and will be a true team player who can flex and enjoys working in a number of different areas and with various instruments.
Follows written analytical procedures and methods for testing of in-process, finished and customer product samples including Plating tests, Volumetric and Gravimetric analysis, Instrumental analysis, etc. Collects and enters data into WinLIMS data management system to review and validate results of sample data and performs associated calculations.
Submits results for approval to the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager. Schedules and maintains instrument calibration database while coordinating with the MSA team on Gage R&R, Accuracy, Linearity, Bias, matching and correlation studies.
Operates equipment and follows procedures in accordance with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards. Attends required HSE training including Hazardous Waste Management, emergency response, and Hazard Communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or related field and at least 2 years of strong laboratory experience.
- Proficient in bench chemistry, manual titrations and extractions, with working knowledge of gravimetric assays, pH measurement and UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
- Previous experience in one or more of the following: ICP-OES, ICP-MS, HPLC/IC.
- Solid understanding of analytical accuracy and precision, strong data analysis skills and attention to detail, and willingness to learn new techniques.
