About this role
The Analytical Manager I oversees daily lab operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. This role combines technical expertise in an Analytical Chemistry lab with leadership responsibilities, supporting staff development and maintaining high-quality analytical standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising associates supporting multiple clients, assigning tasks, training, and monitoring performance. The manager ensures timely and accurate analytical testing using validated test methods or methods in development, and maintains and troubleshoots analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UPLC, pH, water activity, and specific gravity.
The manager works closely with HR for hiring, separations, and implementing corrective actions, and provides excellent service to multiple clients by effectively communicating lab happenings and ensuring deadlines are met. They also collaborate with clients and management to improve lab efficiency and processes, and support audits and inspections including preparation of required documentation.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a technical team in a GMP-regulated environment, develop staff, and drive continuous improvement. The role is based in Mason, OH, with typical hours Monday through Friday, forty hours per week, with flexibility to meet department needs.
Requirements
- Documentation in LIMS

Responsibilities
- Supervise associates supporting multiple clients

- Supervise daily laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate analytical testing using validated test methods or methods in development
- Oversee laboratory staff, including assigning tasks, training, and performance monitoring
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a GMP lab
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UPLC, pH, water activity, specific gravity)
- Communicate with clients on LIRs and investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results
