About this role
Takeda is seeking a Process Development Chemist to join the team and contribute to developing and manufacturing high-quality pharmaceutical products. This 12-month fixed-term role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic, regulated environment focused on process development, optimization, and problem-solving. All activities ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
Support the introduction, optimization, and outsourcing of chemical processes while assisting in process validation programs. Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams and conduct laboratory-based investigational and development projects. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain compliance with cGMP, quality standards, and HSE regulations. Complete and maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, BMRs, and process records. Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental awareness within the team.

Requirements
- PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or relevant qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Drug Substance Process Development Chemist in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
- Strong understanding of cGMP and quality systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, regulated environment
- Experience with chemical process optimization and validation in pharma
