Requirements

  • Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, or Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years or Master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery systems and/or consumer product formulation and development
  • Strong foundation in chemistry, materials science, and polymer science as applied to delivery technologies
  • Ability to work independently within a broadly defined technical area
  • Experience coordinating or supporting small technical projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including scientific reporting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed and technically diverse teams

Responsibilities

  • Conduct original experimental research to develop novel and proprietary flavor and fragrance delivery systems
  • Design and execute bench-scale experiments supporting encapsulation, microencapsulation, and related delivery technologies
  • Develop technical approaches, experimental plans, and project strategies under general guidance from senior technical leaders
  • Prepare samples and prototypes for internal and external performance evaluations
  • Perform analytical, material characterization, and stability testing to assess system performance
  • Analyze experimental data, maintain accurate documentation, and propose clear next steps
  • Identify new materials and ingredients that deliver technical or competitive advantages
  • Act as a functional representative on cross-disciplinary project teams and manage assigned technical workstreams
