About this role

We are seeking a goal driven, self-motivated analytical chemist with ICPMS experience for trace metal analysis in a clean room laboratory environment. Additional analytical testing methods will include titration, ion, liquid, and gas chromatography. Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills are required.

Responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis in compliance with standard procedures. Prioritization of sample queue based on customer and factory need. Maintenance of laboratory and equipment supports daily operations.

The Analytical Chemistry Lab technician will work with the Lab engineers and the Lab manager in support of manufacturing operations. Assignments are semi routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving nonstandard problems.

Role involves lab sustaining and development, process transfer, tool ownership, BKM development, and cross training on other techniques. Be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to fast-changing priorities. Comfort working with chemicals and in cleanroom for several hours daily.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or STEM related to Semi. Mfg. AND 1+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience
  • OR Associate degree STEM related to Semi. Mfg. AND 4+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience
  • 1+ years of experience with ICPMS, Assay (titration or densitometry), GCMS, Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography
  • Familiarity with laboratory scales and pipetting techniques
  • 5+ years of experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility or lab facility
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for several hours each day
  • Comfort working with a variety of chemicals including acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample preparation, safe handling and mixing of chemicals
  • Conduct lab analysis and measurements, data collection, analysis and summarization
  • Present lab reports
  • Maintain lab analytical tools including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Install and qualify lab equipment
  • Ensure responsibility for accuracy of analytical data and precision of analytical tools
  • Support safety initiatives, quality systems compliance, lab equipment availability and timely delivery of analytical results
  • Prioritize sample queue based on customer and factory need
