About this role

Intel Technology Development Materials Analysis Lab seeks a self-motivated Lab Analyst to conduct sample analyses for incoming materials issues and characterization using advanced techniques including ICPMS, LCMS, IC, Assay, and GCMS. Responsibilities cover sample preparation and analysis per standard procedures. Prioritization of sample queue aligns with customer and factory needs.

Daily tasks include safe handling and mixing of chemicals, lab measurements, data collection, analysis, summarization, and presentation of lab reports. Maintain laboratory and equipment with excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills. Ensure accuracy of analytical data and precision of analytical tools.

Work in a dynamic environment adapting to fast-changing priorities, both independently and in teams with peers, engineers, and other lab groups. Comfortable handling acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents; able to work in cleanroom and stand for hours at fume hoods or wet stations. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Support lab sustaining and development, process transfer, tool ownership, BKM development, and cross training on techniques. Drive safety initiatives, quality systems compliance, equipment availability, and timely analytical results. Installation and qualification of lab equipment also key.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or STEM related to Semi. Mfg. AND 2+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience -OR- Associate degree STEM related to Semi. Mfg. AND 4+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility or lab facility
  • 1+ years of experience with ICPMS, Assay (titration or densitometry), GCMS, Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography
  • Familiarity with laboratory scales and pipetting techniques
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to fast-changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Comfortable working with a variety of chemicals including acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sample preparation, safe handling and mixing of chemicals, lab analysis and measurements
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data; present lab reports
  • Maintain lab analytical tools including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Install and qualify lab equipment
  • Ensure accuracy of analytical data and precision of analytical tools
  • Drive safety initiatives, quality systems compliance, lab equipment availability and timely delivery of results
  • Support lab sustaining and development, process transfer, tool ownership, BKM development, and cross training
