About this role

Telix Pharmaceuticals seeks a Scientist II in Analytical Chemistry to support its radiochemistry laboratory. This role contributes to the development, validation, and technical transfer of analytical methods used in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing for cancer and rare diseases.

The position executes and validates non-microbiological quality control assays including HPLC, Radio-TLC, and immunoreactivity testing. Routine handling of radioactive materials occurs within a GMP-regulated environment focused on data integrity and method robustness.

Compliance with safety protocols, radiation safety guidelines, and Good Laboratory Practices remains essential. The scientist operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory equipment while ensuring all activities meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Close collaboration with cross-functional partners in quality assurance, production, and R&D supports manufacturing readiness. This work advances the portfolio of late clinical-stage products addressing unmet needs in oncology.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years, or PhD + 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient use of Open Lab or similar analytical chemistry software
  • Experience writing and reviewing SOPs and reports
  • Experience operating in a regulated GMP environment preferred
  • Experience handling radioactive material desired
  • Experience coordinating maintenance on analytical equipment such as HPLC desired
  • Experience hosting or supporting external audits preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, TLC, and spectroscopy to evaluate radiopharmaceutical product quality and purity
  • Assist or lead technical transfer of analytical methods from external vendors into GMP use
  • Plan, execute, and document experiments to support research objectives and project timelines
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, radiation safety guidelines, and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments for reliable results
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, production, and R&D
