About this role
Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with polyester, by implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale. This drives the transition from a linear to a circular value chain, putting textile waste to use over and over.
As Analytical Chemist II, design, create, and execute scientific methods to develop and optimize chemical processes for reducing end-of-life textile waste. Lead key development projects and innovate new techniques related to purification. Support development and standardization of analytical test methods and laboratory procedures.
Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance. Interpret and analyze experimental results to draw sound scientific conclusions that guide research and development. Clearly communicate observations and conclusions through verbal, written formats, presentations, and documentation.
Work effectively as part of an international, interdisciplinary team in a collaborative and innovative environment. Ensure an organized and safe laboratory by adhering to all safety protocols. Contribute to a growing team of purpose-driven, action-oriented pioneers driving the great textile shift.
Report to the Sr Technical Fellow, preferably located in North Carolina, USA. Join an international company with a Swedish soul that embraces diversity in all forms. Together, build a sustainable future through innovation and speed in textile recycling.
