About this role

We are seeking a Process or Chemical Engineer to support qualification and operational readiness efforts for a small molecule GMP facility. This hands-on, execution role focuses on assessing equipment setup, supporting start-up and qualification activities, and developing practical operating procedures for safe kilo- to pilot-scale synthetic operations. The position runs from July 13th to December 11th, 2026.

Daily tasks include evaluating inherited pilot-scale and kilo-lab equipment, identifying capability gaps, risks, and remediation actions. Operate jacketed and glass-lined reactors, filtration and drying systems, TFF systems, and chromatography systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and process performance issues while establishing safe operating envelopes.

Work closely with senior personnel in Process Chemistry Development, Engineering, QA, and EHS to bring equipment into reliable and compliant operation. Partner on risk assessment and safety to ensure safe execution of scale-up activities. Contribute technical content to SOPs, equipment operating procedures, and batch records.

Enable small molecule GMP and non-GMP production readiness, support qualification readiness and commissioning milestones. Gain practical experience in a startup-like environment with incomplete documentation and evolving systems. Establish clear understanding of equipment capabilities and risks for reliable pilot operations.
