You will apply modern synthetic technologies to prepare structurally complex molecules and design synthesis of high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles. Perform multi-step organic synthesis, utilize analytical instrumentation like NMR, HPLC, and LCMS for characterization. Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies for novel chemical structures.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • Expertise in the synthesis, purification, and characterization of complex organic small molecules including methodology development and reaction optimization
  • Competence with modern spectroscopic methods including NMR and HPLC-MS
  • Broad experience in purification techniques such as recrystallization and chromatography
  • Knowledge of safe laboratory practices and strong awareness of safety of chemicals and reactions
  • Proven ability to design and execute synthetic routes, product purification, optimization of chemistry, and data analysis
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to work independently and multi-task under aggressive timelines

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern synthetic technologies in the preparation of structurally complex molecules
  • Design, synthesize, purify and characterize high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles
  • Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies for novel chemical structures
  • Perform multi-step organic synthesis of chemical intermediates and products
  • Utilize analytical instrumentation (NMR / HPLC / LCMS) for product analysis and characterization
  • Maintain excellent laboratory records and write reports and research summaries
  • Manage work assignments productively and deliver high-quality results consistently
