Contribute to developing new products and enhancing existing products based on customer, market, or technology needs, working both independently and within teams. Research, develop, and execute synthetic methods for target molecules, applying technical expertise to identify promising methods considering safety, IP strategy, cost, scalability, timeline, and risk. Use technical expertise and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to design efficient experiments with clear problem statements and data-supported conclusions.

Perform hands-on laboratory work including assembling and maintaining equipment such as glassware, Schlenk lines, inert atmosphere chambers, rotary evaporators, and pressure vessels. Understand and apply complex chemical concepts like balanced equations, stoichiometry, and key performance indicators in reaction schemes. Analyze data using statistical methods including models, ANOVA, confidence intervals, and statistical process control.

Requirements

Ph.D. in chemistry or related field
Experienced level in synthetic chemistry research and development
Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment including Schlenk lines, inert atmosphere chambers, rotary evaporators, and pressure vessels
Ability to apply advanced chemical concepts such as stoichiometry, impurity analysis, and reaction variable control
Expertise in data analysis using statistical methods like ANOVA, confidence intervals, and statistical process control
Negligible travel required

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on laboratory work including assembling, using, and maintaining equipment such as glassware, Schlenk lines, rotary evaporators, pressure vessels, and high precision balances
Understand and apply complex chemical concepts including generating balanced equations, assessing stoichiometry, analyzing mixtures, and identifying key performance indicators like pressures and temperatures
Analyze data using technical expertise, statistical methods including models, ANOVA, confidence intervals, and statistical process control methodologies
Generate concise written summaries, procedures, specifications, and other documents expressing ideas clearly in well-organized reports
