Join as a Fragrance Development Chemist to define and execute multiple fragrance projects across categories. Ensure fragrances meet safety, quality, sustainability, timing, costs, and brand essence for superior sensorial performance.

Support fragrance development from brief to production by gathering market insights, translating requirements into briefs for fragrance houses, and evaluating submissions for olfactive direction, compatibility, and targets. Coordinate sample flow, technical information exchange with houses, vendors, and internal teams. Manage receipt, tracking, distribution, and timely supplier follow-up.

Monitor fragrance performance and stability in product bases, document issues, and coordinate corrective actions with partners. Assist in regulatory compliance, compile technical documentation like olfactive pyramids and development trackers for handover. Maintain accurate records for audits and future briefs.

Organise the internal fragrance library and data for accessibility in development, communication, and audits. Support the Fragrance Specialist in knowledge sharing and process improvements. Drive brand differentiation through innovative fragrance work in a pioneering ethical beauty environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of fragrance chemistry and olfactive evaluation
  • Knowledge of product base compatibility and sensorial performance
  • Familiarity with fragrance stability testing and monitoring
  • Experience translating project briefs for fragrance houses
  • Proficiency in coordinating with suppliers and internal technical teams
  • Ability to compile fragrance technical data and olfactive pyramids
  • Awareness of cosmetic regulatory requirements for fragrances
  • Skills in maintaining fragrance libraries and development records

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute multiple fragrance development projects for different categories
  • Support the Fragrance Specialist in developing fragrances from market insights to briefing fragrance houses
  • Evaluate fragrance submissions for alignment with brand olfactive direction, product compatibility, performance, and cost targets
  • Coordinate exchange of fragrance samples and technical information between fragrance houses, vendors, and internal teams
  • Manage receipt, tracking, and distribution of fragrance samples for evaluation and testing
  • Assist in monitoring fragrance performance and assessing stability samples in final bases
  • Ensure fragrance developments comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Compile and maintain fragrance technical documentation through to handover for dossiers and coding
