Centrillion Biosciences seeks a highly motivated Scientist - Synthetic Chemistry to join our chemistry team.

You will apply modern synthetic technologies to prepare structurally complex molecules, design and synthesize high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles. Responsibilities include multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and characterization using NMR, HPLC, and LCMS. You will evaluate and implement state-of-the-art methodologies for novel chemical structures.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • Expertise in the synthesis, purification, and characterization of complex organic small molecules including methodology development and reaction optimization
  • Competence with modern spectroscopic methods (NMR, HPLC-MS) applied to structure determination
  • Broad experience in purification techniques such as recrystallization and chromatography
  • Proven ability to design and execute synthetic routes, optimize chemistry, and present data
  • Knowledge of safe laboratory practices and strong awareness of chemical and reaction safety
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently and multi-task under aggressive timelines

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern synthetic technologies in the preparation of structurally complex molecules
  • Design, synthesize, purify, and characterize high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles
  • Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies for novel chemical structures
  • Perform multi-step organic synthesis of chemical intermediates and products
  • Utilize analytical instrumentation (NMR, HPLC, LCMS) for product analysis and characterization
  • Maintain excellent laboratory records and write reports and research summaries
  • Deliver high-quality results consistently and manage work assignments productively
