During this program, work with the Enabling Technologies group within the DSTS organization focused on high-throughput experimentation (HTE) workflows. Expand automation and digitalization capabilities central to the internship. Advance applications of data management/visualization, machine learning, cheminformatics, and predictive modeling.

Apply expertise in automation and digital workflows to advance critical HTE initiatives. Engage with scientists and engineers within the DSTS organization and across Amgen. Our award-winning culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program from an accredited college or university with completion of first year before internship starts
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the internship
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
  • In process of completing PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and/or Data Sciences with focus on organic synthesis and chemical engineering
  • Experience in high-throughput experimentation (HTE), advanced data analysis/visualization, machine learning, cheminformatics, and predictive modeling

Responsibilities

  • Work with members of the Enabling Technologies group within the DSTS organization
  • Execute high-throughput experimentation (HTE) workflows
  • Expand automation and digitalization capabilities
  • Advance data management/visualization, machine learning, cheminformatics, and predictive modeling to support HTE workflows
  • Apply expertise in automation and digital workflows to critical initiatives
  • Engage with scientists and engineers within the DSTS organization and across Amgen
