Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or having completed a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in natural product chemistry, process chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related chemistry field
- Hands-on proficiency in extraction and isolation techniques such as flash chromatography, HPLC, or prep-HPLC, and a strong foundation in organic or natural products chemistry
- Finds satisfaction in rigorous, methodical benchwork and understands that reproducibility and precision are the foundation of scalable, transferable chemistry
- Self-starter who can follow, execute, and iteratively improve SOPs, document experiments with care, and proactively communicate
Responsibilities
- Assist in route scouting for natural product extraction and isolation, performing focused, reproducible laboratory experiments to establish scalable protocols
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with process chemistry, analytical chemistry, and synthetic biology teams to support isolation strategies for starting materials
- Generate data to support external CRO and CMO partners, contributing to scalable enrichment and isolation processes
- Produce experimental data and detailed documentation for intellectual property filings
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and scientific review sessions where experimental learnings are discussed, refined, and codified
- Contribute to the development of scalable extraction workflows at the frontier of natural product science and modern biotech
