As part of the innovative Medicinal Chemistry group, design, synthesize, and purify novel compounds for potential clinical drug development. Contribute to the Induced Proximity Platform focused on PROTAC modality for intractable targets.
Develop, implement, and perform organic reactions for Medicinal Chemistry teams, including troubleshooting synthetic routes and scouting new routes. Perform high difficulty synthetic chemistry and contribute to designing new compounds with structure-activity relationships. Conduct structural determinations using NMR and mass spectral techniques while purifying compounds.
This onsite laboratory position at Thousand Oaks involves working in teams as a recognized lab leader. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintain laboratory notebooks, participate in group and project meetings, present to groups, and aid in papers and patent applications.

Requirements
- Doctorate Degree
- Master’s degree and 2 years of laboratory experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of laboratory experience
- Track record of accomplishments (e.g., peer-reviewed publications)
- Demonstrated ability to scout and troubleshoot synthetic routes, and perform high difficulty synthetic chemistry
- Clear understanding of structural determination using NMR and Mass Spectral techniques as well as knowledge of purification methods
- Demonstration of good lab practices, with particular attention to safety
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), leadership skills and the ability to work well in teams
Responsibilities
