About this role

We are seeking an HPLC Chemist who executes laboratory experiments, analytical testing, and method development activities to generate high quality, reliable data. This role applies strong technical expertise to support research and development projects, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and contribute to method optimization. The Scientist I operates with a high degree of autonomy within defined project scope, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with objectives.

Daily responsibilities include independently executing laboratory experiments and analytical testing such as LCMS and HPLC-DAD in accordance with protocols and timelines. Analyze, interpret, and document data for accuracy and reliability, while troubleshooting routine issues with instrumentation. Synthesize results into actionable insights for decision-making and client reporting, maintaining thorough documentation in LIMS.

Work collaboratively within the RPD team to support cross-functional projects and departmental initiatives. Ensure all activities align with regulatory, industry, and internal quality standards through accurate, audit-ready documentation. Identify compliance concerns and contribute to process improvements for enhanced efficiency and scalability.

Opportunities involve conducting literature reviews to inform method development, assisting in reports and presentations, and sharing knowledge to advance team outcomes. Manage inventory of consumables and solvents, handle purchase requests, and support equipment maintenance for reliable operations. Perform additional responsibilities to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in an analytical testing laboratory
  • Knowledge of standard analytical lab procedures with some instrumentation experience
  • Experience executing HPLC-DAD and LCMS analytical testing
  • Familiarity with method development and validation protocols
  • Proficiency in data analysis and LIMS documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine instrumentation issues

Responsibilities

  • Execute method development, optimization, and validation activities within defined project scope
  • Independently execute laboratory experiments and analytical testing (e.g., LCMS, HPLC-DAD)
  • Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data ensuring accuracy and reliability
  • Troubleshoot experimental and instrumentation issues, escalating complex problems
  • Ensure work aligns with regulatory, industry, and internal quality standards
  • Assist in preparing reports, publications, and presentations for internal or external audiences
  • Monitor inventory levels of consumables and solvents and manage purchase requests
  • Collaborate within the RPD team to support cross-functional projects and process improvements
