This role requires designing multi-step syntheses of intermediates, building blocks, and final products. Apply solid-phase and solution chemistry techniques for synthesis. Conduct thorough purification and characterization of organic molecules using modern methods.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Organic Chemistry with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience
  • Experience in traditional and contemporary organic synthesis techniques
  • Proficiency with analytical instruments such as NMR, IR, MS, and elemental analysis
  • Familiarity with low temperature reactions, inert atmosphere, metal-catalyzed cross coupling, hydrogenation
  • Knowledge of purification methods including column chromatography and HPLC
  • Record of success in execution of new synthetic routes
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot routes and deliver compounds in suitable yield and purity
  • Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals
