About this role

Abiologics, Inc. is a privately held, early-stage biotechnology company pioneering Synteins™, a transformational class of macromolecular medicines unlocked by novel synthetic and computational technologies. The company was founded in Flagship Pioneering’s venture creation engine. We seek an experienced Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry specializing in miniprotein and peptide drugs to lead projects from early-stage research to clinical development.

The role involves independently planning, executing, interpreting, and optimizing Syntein structure-activity campaigns through direct, hands-on laboratory work. Implement modern peptide chemistry and conjugation methodologies to accelerate miniprotein drug development optimization. Drive bench-side innovation to transition ideas from concept to reality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including computational chemistry, biology, and pharmacology to drive project success. Mentor and guide junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and dynamic laboratory environment. Contribute to patent applications and scientific publications showcasing lab innovation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to bring a new drug modality through to clinical development in a mission-driven biotech. Work on-site in a dynamic research setting at Abiologics, backed by Flagship Pioneering's track record of originating transformative ventures.
