This full-time scientist will develop color pigments and new electronic ink formulations under supervision of Senior Research Scientists. Conduct laboratory experiments in pigment surface modification and ink formulations. Collaborate with analytical scientists to characterize pigments and materials.

Perform electrical and electro-optical measurements for new color displays. Document processes and results while participating in group and project meetings. Work safely adhering to company safety protocols in an inclusive environment fostering diversity of people, backgrounds, and perspectives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or relevant science fields
  • 0-3 years of experience working in a laboratory environment with a variety of equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to write scientific reports/technical updates
  • Self-directed, motivated, and hands-on personality
  • Ability to multitask, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Aptitude in acquiring new knowledge and skills, flexible to adapt to changes
  • Knowledge of and experience in polymer and colloid science

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior technical staff to conduct laboratory experiments primarily in the area of pigment surface modification and ink formulations
  • Collaborate with analytical scientists to characterize pigments and materials
  • Perform electrical and electro-optical measurements for new color displays
  • Document processes and results
  • Participate in group and project meetings
