As Synthetic Chemistry Lead, apply expertise across Medicinal Chemistry and/or CMC projects to support active drug discovery programs. Act as lead in one or more programs, delivering scientific expertise and strategic direction. Drive improvements in the AI/ML Drug Design Platform and advancement of programs.

Join the dynamic Synthetic Chemistry, CMC and Logistics team partnering with AI/ML and drug discovery colleagues. Manage extensive external CRO team across all phases of chemistry from early to late stages. Work in a supportive atmosphere recognizing diverse expertise with a strong growth mindset.

Requirements

Expertise in synthetic organic chemistry for medicinal chemistry applications
Experience leading synthetic chemistry efforts in drug discovery programs
Knowledge of CMC processes for drug development and scale-up
Proficiency managing external CRO teams for chemistry outsourcing
Ability to provide strategic direction in multidisciplinary drug design environments
Familiarity with data-driven approaches in rational drug design
Skills in optimizing synthetic routes for novel molecules

Responsibilities

Apply Synthetic Chemistry expertise across Medicinal Chemistry and/or CMC projects
Act as Synthetic Chemistry Lead in one or more active drug discovery programs
Collaborate internally and with third-party organisations in multidisciplinary teams
Work cross-functionally with Medicinal Chemistry, DMPK, Biology, and Technology teams
Represent the company externally with collaborators including Contract Research Organizations
Deliver scientific expertise and strategic direction to drive platform improvements
Support data-driven delivery of high quality scientific solutions to complex technical problems
Transform drug design and manufacturing through partnership with AI/ML teams
