Visiting Professor - Organic Chemistry

The Chemistry Program of the Department of Natural Sciences of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges seeks to hire a visiting professor to teach organic chemistry lectures and labs. The position is a full-time, 2-year appointment beginning in August 2026. Rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor, depending on experience.

Responsibilities center on delivering organic chemistry lectures and supervising associated laboratory sessions for undergraduates. Opportunities to direct undergraduate research projects are also possible. This role supports hands-on learning in organic synthesis, mechanisms, and experimental techniques.
