Requirements

  • Completion or near completion of a PhD in organic/bio-organic chemistry
  • Experience of medicinal chemistry hit-to-lead and/or lead optimisation
  • Theoretical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques
  • Practical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques to synthesise and isolate compounds
  • Ability to design and execute multi-step organic syntheses for drug candidates
  • Proficiency in compound purification and characterisation methods
  • Experience in structure-activity relationship studies
  • Skills in collaborating on drug discovery projects
