About this role

Are you a synthetic chemistry expert eager to shape the future of AI? Large-scale language models are evolving into powerful engines of scientific discovery. High-quality training data from your expertise will democratize world-class education and streamline lab work for scientists everywhere.

Synthetic chemistry specialists live and breathe organic synthesis, reaction mechanism design, stereochemistry, retrosynthetic analysis, organometallic chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, catalysis, and structure-activity relationships. Challenge advanced language models on multi-step synthesis planning, protecting group strategies, asymmetric catalysis, reagent selection, total synthesis of natural products, reaction optimization, and functional group transformations. Document every failure mode to harden model reasoning.

On a typical day, converse with the model on synthetic pathways and theoretical chemistry questions. Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness, capture reproducible error traces. Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

A PhD in chemistry or closely related field is ideal, with peer-reviewed publications, laboratory synthesis experience, or applied chemical development projects signaling fit. Clear, metacognitive communication—showing your work—is essential. Turn your synthetic chemistry expertise into the knowledge base for tomorrow’s AI.
