Requirements
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in organic/bio-organic chemistry
- Experience of medicinal chemistry hit-to-lead and/or lead optimisation
- Theoretical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques
- Practical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques to synthesise and isolate compounds
- Ability to design and execute multi-step organic syntheses for drug discovery
- Proficiency in purification and characterisation of medicinal chemistry compounds
- Demonstrated research track record in drug discovery projects
