The School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney is a leading center for chemical research and education with modern facilities. This full-time, 2-year fixed-term role focuses on synthesis of new mitochondrial targeting agents using main group elements like boron and Group 15. The ARC-funded project involves multidisciplinary collaboration.
Daily work centers on research in synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry within a lab-based environment at Camperdown Campus. Manage laboratory operations and instrumentation while contributing to high-impact publications. Support teaching and student supervision alongside grant writing efforts.

Requirements
- PhD in synthetic organic and/or organometallic chemistry, or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize, purify, and characterize organic and/or organometallic molecules containing main group elements
- Experience with boron and Group 15 elements in synthesis
- Track record in synthetic chemistry research
- Ability to conduct multidisciplinary collaborative research
