Requirements

Expertise in organic synthesis and reaction optimization
Proficiency with purification methods like flash chromatography and preparative HPLC
Skilled in structure elucidation using NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry
Familiarity with medicinal chemistry principles and SAR analysis
Experience handling air-sensitive reactions and biocatalysis
Strong problem-solving abilities in complex synthesis projects
Knowledge of parallel synthesis and library production techniques

Responsibilities

Synthesize novel small molecules and heterocycles for medicinal chemistry programs
Design and optimize multi-step synthetic routes for target compounds
Purify reaction products using chromatography and crystallization techniques
Characterize compounds with NMR, LC-MS, and HPLC analysis
Prepare high-quality samples for in vitro biological assays
Document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks
Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and scale reactions appropriately
Maintain laboratory safety and compliance standards
