We seek a driven Inorganic Chemistry Market Development Manager to spearhead growth for the AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS portfolio in Eastern USA and Canada. This role identifies new business opportunities, drives demand, and impacts win rates.

The position combines deep application and market knowledge with commercial acumen to uncover customer needs and propose value-based solutions across industries. Serve as the 'Quarterback' in the assigned sales district, expanding visibility to new customers and increasing demand. Focus on high-value, application-specific workflows for strategic opportunities.

Collaborate cross-functionally to translate market insights into actionable sales and market share gains. Drive regional and segment-specific demand for the Inorganic Chemistry portfolio. Work within a global service network supporting commercial, government, academic, and healthcare customers.

Field remote in US East with significant travel and company vehicle for personal use. Develop go-to-market strategies targeting unmet needs to drive revenue growth. Keep current with trends, competitors, and regulations to guide district focus.

Requirements

  • Deep application knowledge in inorganic chemistry for AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS
  • Strong market knowledge of analytical instrumentation sectors
  • Commercial acumen to propose value-based solutions
  • Expertise in high-value workflows for trace element analysis
  • Ability to build technical business cases for technology transitions
  • Understanding of diverse industries using inorganic analysis
  • Familiarity with sales cycles in scientific instruments

Responsibilities

  • Identify new, high-potential market segments, applications, and geographies for AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS sales
  • Lead complex sales cycles from qualification to close for new customers
  • Leverage emerging applications to expand visibility and identify underserved regions or verticals
  • Support sales in building compelling technical business cases for transitioning customers
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies targeting unmet customer needs
  • Devise strategies to displace legacy instruments or underperforming competitors
  • Keep current with market trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and regulatory drivers
