Join a collaborative, cross-functional team on the frontlines of pharmaceutical innovation. Develop and optimise synthetic routes for some of the most challenging molecules in drug development. Conduct lab-scale experiments while supporting scale-up activities.

Collaborate with analytical scientists to define and meet compound specifications. Engage with global teams to bring chemistry from bench to production. Present work in cross-site project reviews and contribute to technology transfer documentation.

Requirements

  • PhD (or equivalent) in synthetic organic chemistry or a related field
  • Postdoctoral or industrial experience is a plus
  • Strong track record in developing synthetic routes to complex molecules
  • Experience with peptides, oligonucleotides, or ADCs is preferred
  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of synthetic chemistry
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
  • Meticulous documentation and reporting habits
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimise synthetic pathways for complex APIs and intermediates
  • Conduct literature reviews, lab-scale experiments, and support scale-up activities
  • Collaborate with analytical scientists to define and meet compound specifications
  • Present work in cross-site project reviews and contribute to technology transfer documentation
